New Obsession

I get hooked on a lot of things...some good, some bad. :) But don't we all?!

The past couple of weeks I have been rockin' out to Kelly Clarkson's new CD (thanks to Marie :) )!

If you don't have it you should really check it out! It's really fun! She has branched out a little and done a lot of different types of music on the CD...which I love! Its a great CD worth investing in...

Oh and did you know that its been 7 years since the first American Idol?! crazy!! Speaking of American Idol...if you think about it vote for Kris Allen this week!!

Sorry about the lack of posting. I have no excuse.

We move into our new house this weekend! I am ridiculously excited! It will be so nice to have so much space! I can cook more. Millie even has a nice backyard to play in! We will also be really close to where Brent works, which will be wonderful! And I am a lot closer to my friends! yay! I am even more excited about not having to pack or move all this stuff!! THANK YOU ARMY! :)

Lately I have been obsessed with this...

Oh man is it good!! There is quite a bit of caffeine, but it has ZERO calories! Its a diet drink....so I was a little skeptic at first. I absolutely HATE diet drinks, but this tastes SO good! You wouldn't even know it was a diet! GO BUY SOME TODAY!! :)

Oh man what a weekend! The conference was SO wonderful. Beth Moore is such a great speaker. The worship by Travis Cottrell and his team was AMAZING. God's presence was so overwhelming. I am so thankful I got to go! They have posted a video about the weekend and you can find it here.

These are the main verses she used:

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
Hebrews 10:23-25

and

"Remember those earlier days after you had received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffering. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You sympathized with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while,
"He who is coming will come and will not delay.

And the eight points she shared with us:

Stop giving people the power only God should have.
Check the trash bin for some truth.
Stop halting the work before some trash turns into treasure.
Remember the victories you and God have had together
Show courage even before you feel courage.
Trash the self-condemnation.
Encourage and receive encouragement.
Daily and deliberately believe God over every other influence.

Beth Moore is in town!

Its true! Beth Moore is here in the good ole west! Me and bunch of my girl friends are going tonight and tomorrow to hear her speak! I am SOOOO excited, because my senior year of college we did her Daniel study in my Bible study. And I fell in love with her. She is so kooky and I love it! I hope to meet her. She is from Arkansas and I feel like we would be BFFs if she let me!

I am most excited about what God is going to teach me and the other women. And I can't wait to share with EVERYONE!

On another note, I found out a good friend is moving away. Welcome to the Army... I am sure this won't be the first time to happen. But I can't help be sad and happy for them at the same time. God has blessed me with such a wonderful friendship and am so thankful for our time together! I know our paths will cross again one day and I can't wait for that day!

This is my husband's parents at our wedding this July. They are such wonderful people and have raised an AMAZING son! I am so thankful for such great inlaws. I have so much fun with them when we get to visit. I can't wait to see them in April!

So here is my second post.

I am going to attempt to make gnocchi tonight. Its my all time favorite pasta! I have never made it before, so I thought it might be fun. We shall see how it goes...I'm kinda nervous.

Hopefully it will turn out looking beautiful like that. This is just one step towards trying to be a good wife to this man...hehe

I am so excited for the weekend! Saturday morning all the women involved with the Navigators are getting together for a prayer breakfast. God has truly blessed me with a great group of women. It seems like every other day I have someone to eat lunch with. It was so hard for me to move away and leave behind all my best friends from college, but seeing God's provisions has been AMAZING! I have gone from absolutely hating it here to LOVING it! God is so good!! Its just proof that if we seek after and obey Him EVERY day, He will provide. No one can ever replace my besties, but I can surely add to them!!! I can't wait until August 1st when are reunited again!

Okay so my second post was kinda random, but its what was on my heart! Hope you enjoy the randomness of my life!

So I have decided to join the blogging world! I started reading other people's blogs and thought that it was time to come out of the "blog stalker" closet!

So here I am!

I will try to keep this thing updated with things going on out here in the west! I don't consider my life too exciting, but maybe someone will. This is my first post for now. I will sit down and write a little about myself and publish it later.
